Goodyear Mansion in Buffalo, New York was built in the year 1902 by Charles W. Goodyear, the son of the founder of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. The mansion is a 12,000 square feet Beaux-Arts style mansion that features a fabulous interior that is well-preserved and considered a work of art in itself.
Goodyear Mansion was used as a private residence for many years until it was sold to the Buffalo Seminary in the year 1948. The Buffalo Seminary is a private all-girls school that has been using the mansion as its primary campus since then.
Over the years, the Goodyear Mansion has undergone several renovations, including the addition of new wings to accommodate the growing school. Today, the mansion houses the school's academic and administrative offices, classrooms, library, and other facilities.
The Goodyear Mansion is considered as one of the most impressive architectural marvels in Buffalo and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also a popular tourist destination in the city and can be visited by appointment only.
